I'm down with most of these picks,

with the exception of #9 Steve Smith and #10 Antonio Gates.

Consult the following thread on why Steve Smith should not be a first round draft pick next year.

And with regards to Gates, I hope people realize that his quarterback, Drew Brees, suffered a torn labrum on Saturday and is undergoing surgery this week. Injuries to a quarterback's throwing arm are never a good thing; this is nothing to take too lightly. Would you ever take a tight end in the first round, anyway? :-B

Gates in the first round so you can gain the advantage at the TE position is probably the worst thing I've ever seen. I won't even go into why because I assume most of you agree, but if someone supports Gates at 10, fire away.

Well, in VBD terms Gates value is right up around there. In addition to that, Gates is a pretty safe pick to be the top TE, and the RBs left at #10 certainly have a much much larger chance of busting hard. Not saying I would take Gates that high, but I wouldn't think poorly of someone who did.

Agreed, Gates gives you such a great advantage (judging by VBD which is obviously the best method of drafting) at TE that he is a 2nd round pick at the very least IMO.
