While I agree that Herm Edwards is probably a better choice than the HC options that will be available to the Jets should they let him go, I don't think it is necessarily a bad move by the franchise to let him go.

If Herm wants to go, which it seems as if he does, why would the Jets make him stay there? Do you really want a head coach that does not want to be there? I think once it was clear that Herm wanted the KC job, the Jets not only have to let him go, they also have to get as much as they can for him, which will be draft picks in this case.

I can't believe that Woody isn't demanding at least a 2nd round pick. The Chiefs want Herm really badly, I bet if the Jets demanded a 2nd and a 4th that the chiefs would eventually cave.
