Yeah I've been interested in playing online poker for a while now. I know how to play poker but dont really understand how the betting works(small blinds, big blinds stuhf like that.) I dont wanna change the direction of this thread but which of these sites is the best for learning(tutorial?)

these sites typically post blinds and antes for you....that, or you'll be prompted to do so...

i play pokerstars occasionally....but haven't played any money yet...too many horror stories of impossible beats like 2 running aces to come back and beat 3 kings....pretty fishy....

Yeah I ya jayday, not a fan of pokerstars here, used to play it all the time. I moved on to full tilt poker for online use. They dont have as many play money games, but it seems less rigged...

Well for starters, stating that ANY of the sites are competitive with play money is laughable. You will not find a single play money table in the entire internet where people play "for real".

Yes, they have a Java game that you don't have to download software for. I mean, you still have to wait for it to download the Java stuff every time, but it's not that bad. I play there all the time.

I've played money on Pokerstars, PartyPoker, FullTilt, RoyalVegas, ParadisePoker, UltimateBet, and Pokerroom. Out of all of those, I actually prefer Pokerroom(for online), but most of my "career" has been on Partypoker. Mostly play Pokerroom lately though, the competition is a little softer than the others. Plus, if you want to play against drunks, play on PartyPoker. But if you want to play some good clean fun poker, head to your local B&M casino and go fishing
