It was my understanding that Atchison was the first one sworn in the subsequent day, so while it is ambiguous as to who was actually President for that Sunday, Atchison became President Pro Tempore some minutes before Taylor was actually sworn in as President. So, for those few minutes, he was the official President Pro Tempore of the Senate, which meant he was President until Fillmore was sworn in as Veep, who was President for minutes until Taylor was sworn in as Prez.
