I have Photoshop and I want to learn how to make sigs like the one you posted. How do you crop the players from the images you use? How do you cut out the player and not include the stands, etc.? And where do you get your images?

I use the magnetic lasso to cut the players out, a lot of the artists on here have other methods, I guess it comes down to what you're most comfortable with.

Magnetic Lasso is the tool of choice for me as well ... I usually include a 1px feather to fine out the edges to.

Love the Merriman sig as well ... he's gonna be a BEAST next year, and so on, and so on ...

The Pen tool is great, outline the guy, right click and hit "Make selection"

That's what I do, but there are numerous ways to do it, as GP said. When it comes down to it, I find that the pen tool gives you a quick, clean cut.
