Ravens | McAlister might not be with team for 2006 season

Mike Preston, of the Baltimore Sun, reports Baltimore Ravens head coach Brian Billick recently warned team officials that CB Chris McAlister might not be with the team for the 2006 season. McAlister has five years left on his contract worth $36 million. He received a $10 million signing bonus in October of 2004 and another $7.5 million during the spring of 2005.

I can't stand Will demps, hes no good. We can draft Huff outta texas now in the draft, he's really good. ;-D

that's what I hear so far... Huff or Jimmy Williams (if he falls) are going to Balt.

That'sa tough choice. There's not much depth at CBin this draft and williams is very very good. I like Huff a lot though. I think we have abetter shot at Huff,b ut I dont see how we pass Williams up if he falls to us.

In the ravens case i would much rather see them go after someone in FA at safety bacause you have corey chavous tank williams lance shulters and a few other decent safetys. With Mccalister he is not a FA so we will be able to trade him and he has great value considering he is a top 5 corner. By getting rid of his cap you could go and sign a Fa cb such as charles woodson or nate clements. Then we go after a runningback in the draft.
