being a good pass receiver is probably the main reason for that
I second this. The Colts will want a RB who can catch out of the backfield. Jamal Lewis cannot do that, Green can.
I wasn't suggesting Indy would sign Jamal... I was suggesting they would target Chester Taylor, who is every bit the receiver Ahamn Green is, but without all the extra mileage...

That seems to make a bit more sense. They would likely get him a bit cheaper as well.

Taylor may not be cheaper. Green could be open for a one year contract to reprove his worth. That would give the Colts time to develop a rookie if they chose to go that route.
Chester would most certainly require a multi-year contract.

I wish you were wrong. Here's a list of what's coming up for the Colts in the offseason...
Players who will become unrestricted free agents at the end of the season include Edgerrin James, Reggie Wayne, Mike Vanderjagt, David Thornton, Raheem Brock, Rob Morris, James Mungro, Troy Walters and Joseph Jefferson.
I heard Buffalo is looking at Vanderjagt as they are still trying to replace Scott Norwood.
Seriously though, Edge and Wayne are the two big names on the list. Anyone know what next season's FAs look like for the Colts outside of Freeney?
