I don't know about this, but when you guys saw Steve Smith barking at his offensive coordinator about not getting any passes and hearing all this talk about him being "quadruple covered"...doesn't it remind you a bit of the whole Terrell Owens fiasco in San Francisco when he lit up his OC?
...why hasn't anybody said anything about Smith doing so? Is it cause he backed it up? All you hear is the announcers saying "well, he's obviously frustrated and rightfully so"...but I guess behaviour like that is excusable if you're not a perennial malcontent like Owens.
Just kidding.
1335 rushing yards, 53 receptions, 441 receiving yards. 18 TDs.
Money in the bank.
I see the similarity, only difference is Owens was a much more controversial WR even before that incident with then offensive coordinator Brad Childress. This is Smith's first real outburst toward his Coordinator if I'm not mistaken, and for some unknown reason TO had much more hype around him then than Steve Smith does now. Thats just my opinion though.
I think this is just an example of TO being victimized (at his own accord, granted)...but TO had never really had outbursts before that either. Everybody and their dog was on about how "you need to respect your coaches" and how TO is a vicious and selfish human being.

well if this is the case, then why don't you throw chad johnson, randy moss, et al into the competition. b/c it seems that lots of wr's are becoming this way.
Well.. to be fair to Smith he was quadruple covered. (1 man to man, 2 zone, and 1 LB that was dropping back.) and when you saw him barking at the OC he was probably upset with the state of the offense which has been pathetic today. Actually the first thing that came to my mind on the play that Tatupu got the INT was... damn Smith was quadruple covered on that play.
Steve Smith seems to be the only one who cares in this game... someone had to pay Delhomme off.... wow he just threw another pick in the middle of my post
case opened, because I know I'm getting flak for that one.
maybe not. i think TO is the best WR in the game, and i think a lot of people in the cafe are afraid to admit that publicly. steve smith overrated??? hmmm, not so much. i think he is rated perfectly. he is only as good as the team he plays on, and to be honest, carolina's offense is often inept (see today). especially minus a running game. without that, steve smith can be shut down and contained. just like every other WR though.
