It is true, but even CNN said the largest jellyfish can have a diamater of up to 6 feet 7 inches. If this is accurate, the first picture at the beginning of this thread can't possibly be real. Keep in mind that the man is in the foreground. Even if the man was only 5 feet tall, the jellyfish in that first photo would be at least 20 feet in diameter.

I found that picture here so it's not exactly from CNN. I didn't see their article or any accompanying pictures from it so I don't know about their version.

The second pic in the beginning of the thread came from the link in my first post. I'm assuming that's definitely not a doctored photo.

Could be fake. It's still a big damned fish, that's all I've gotta say.
