I don't think they're a "boy band," but the Faint exist and they're (apparently) from Omaha. Here's a brief write-up on them. There are a few bands from Omaha that have hit it big, but only 311 comes to mind right now.

Have you heard their music? I live 50 miles from them and never heard of them until I Stumbled Upon this game.

What's their music like? Would it appeal to a Child of the 80s?

Judging by the game's object, their music probably sucks. I don't think there was any good music recorded after about 1979. Except for maybe Tears in Heaven and November Rain.

They have a bit of a techno/pop thing going on. They're really original, I can give them props for that. It's okay if you're into that kind of stuff, but I'm not.
