That guy didnt do half bad. Plus I think the Vikings are in rebuilding mode.
wouldnt think they would want Brad at QB if they were trying to rebuild....
Actually, I think Brad would go with the trend of rebuilding. Typically you want the cheaper veteran(or the aging star who has one or two years left) who can play a year or two and a top prospect to groom so he hits his prime when you're done rebuilding. Recently:
If you're rebuilding, you don't want to have to pay a QB that is primed to "win now," you want the journeyman who can serve as a stopgap while you develop a youngster.
i think maddog has a point. From what they were saying earlier, the Vikes might be atleast half of next season without CPep too. There is a chance they could be thinking of taking a QB this year or next, and keeping brad for two more years. Along with getting a draft pick or two from CPep they get a QB who *might* be able to win them just as many games with what they currently have. Maybe win more games who knows.
if you are in re-building mode, then you don't need a pricy quarterback tying up all your money. put in johnson, a veteran, for a couple years while you re-build your defense and offensive line. draft a young guy (like cutler) and let him sit behind johnson learning the offense. meanwhile, with johnson at QB and a plethora of young talent (MM, Burleson, etc.), you could win some games, and possibly the NFC North.
its funny that moss said that....before last year he said that collins was a better qb than culpep. I guess he is figuring out that he was wrong and trying to get culpep back....silly moss

You are stating that Collins is better than CPepp correct? I've got to say, in the Raiders position, I don't know that I wouldn't just ask Collins to come back for a greatly reduced rate and lead the team. They are geared to "win now" and when that blows up, at least you aren't on the line for a QB demading a huge payday again.
I like simple pleasures, like butter in my ass, lollipops in my mouth. That's just me.

Actually it's just a sarcastic remark. Moss said that before the season started, and we all had a decent laugh about it.
I hear don Dan Patricks radio show when he interviewed Randy Moss, Moss was saying the same things. Moss said he'd been talking to Culpepper very recently and they discussed C-Pepp going to Oakland.
Supossedly C-pepp wants out of Minny so this might just happen...
