Has anyone every been to this? From what I've heard, it's basically an "NFL Theme Park" that they hold in the host city every year. Has anyone ever been? I can't figure out if it's supposed to be geared towards kids and I'm considering braving the crowds to check it out.

They've been doing it for years at the Super Bowl. I'm sure it's at some convention center nearby Ford Field or even inside Ford Field. I don't think it's entirely for the kids. I mean there's obviously going to be some stuff for them, but there is other stuff that adults can do as well like calling Super Bowl plays, kicking field goals, etc.

I've never been to one, but I've seen the little snippits they show on Sportscenter when they do live reports from the Super Bowl. ;-D

This year it's at Cobo. They have to do a one-week turnaround from the Auto Show to the NFL Experience.

i went to the one in San Diego...its fun.

Who cares about the kids.

I went to BOTH in San Diego... (98, 03)

I highly recommend the "announcer booth." In this event, you get to review old NFL moments, but you get to announce for them. I did the Music City Miracle...

(memorable quote from RayVins when we went... anyone remember that guy?)

I hate Steve Christie. He does "Instant Replay" on the Score every week and makes even stupider predictions and picks than Tony Mandarich did when he was on it.
