Intellectual property is a sticky subject for people these days. I think it's dumb also; I don't think people are going to forever link Seattle with the 12th man concept. Are the Aggies really going to lose money over not having sole rights to the phrase "12th man?"

the aggies are proud of their tradition. and foolish too. anyone remember the bonfire incident about 5 years ago? i can see their argument...at least being in the area you hear all about their traditions and yada yada yada, ad nauseum. so i can only imagine how indoctrinated it is to the people that actually attend the school and participate in said traditions, or did at one time. that being said...this is stupid.

I think they should be banned from doing, "The Wave," because it originated in Seattle. In fact, everytime they do, "The Husky Wave," they should have to disclose that it is a Husky tradition and pay a royalty. Retroactive.
