Does anyone collect these? I just started my collection a few months ago and thought I'd see if anyone else buys, sells, or trades.

I have a few of them as well. I think they are great!

A couple of years ago I met Todd's father at the car wash of all places (it is a very funny story actually). Todd and his family moved to Calgary when he was 9 or so, and his parents still live here.

After chatting about Todd, and the figures for a while, I had asked him if they had any "rights" to retired players, namely Barry Sanders, and if they would ever make any. He told me that they were in the works for the "NHL" legends, but had only just begun to think about the NFL ones. I know that Barry created his own opportunity as being one of the 6 chosen, but I would like to think that I had a little to do with influencing Barry's chance. ;-D

If you have only started to collect them, wait until you get into the "variants" and "chase" figures. :-o You can get addicted to snatching them up, everywhere from Walmart to eBay. Fun stuff though.

I wish they could make them for college. I would buy a Bo Jackson one or maybe even a Carnell Williams if they were in an Auburn uni.

I have a enormous collection of Wayne Gretzky memorabilia, so i do have all of the Gretzky ones. As Santacruzer said have fun collection all of the variants, errors, and chase figures. I love getting the hard to find personally is what makes collecting worth collecting. The only NFL one i have is Barry Sanders, would collect more just dont have the room for them.

Just a note to this, there are people who take the McFarlane figures and customize them. I've seen them on Ebay. Some of them are excellent. I've seen Emmitt in his Gators uni, Reggie Bush, Polamalu, Randle El, etc. (No such figures exist as produced by McFarlane). They even have the decals for the clamshell packaging to look like they were produced by McFarlane. So you may be able to get a Bo or Cadillac customized.

But anyways, Yes Homey, these are the figures I'm talking about. They are really intricately detailed. Alot of the figures look EXACTLY like the real players in the face. These aren't like the Starting Lineups where they basically had 5 molds and just painted them differently. My favorite so far is the Franco Harris from Legends series 1 making the Immaculate Reception.
