yeah I agree, i'm gonna miss a thanksgiving NFL game for the first time in 10 years...to protest I will not watch a single NFL game all year. Well, maybe not.
I saw this press release earlier today, and other than those who are unlucky enough to not get NFL Network, I'm reading the article differently and see it all as extremely positive. It says the inaugural game of this package is Thanksgiving NIGHT as a part of a Thanksgiving Day triple header.
So, doesn't that sound like the regular 2 Thanksgiving games on regular network, and then another (third) game Thanksgiving evening on NFL network?
Sounds great to me!
Plus, the Thursday and Saturday night games in prime time....that's great IMO. Less channel switching on Sundays, and more time to concentrate on "extra" games on Thursday and/or Saturday nights. The Sunday Ticket NFL on Direct TV is great, but it's hard to choose between games on Sundays. This way we can get to watch some extra games during the week without competition of other games on other channels.

That was my impression as well. That there would be THREE games on turkeyday.I hope that is the case.If not,it would really be too much with MNF not being on broadcast now as well.
BTW,I do have the NFL Network and really enjoy it.Great stuff.I especially love watching their NFL Europe games cause I'm in a NFL Europe FF league with my friends.GO SKIP HICKS!!
from what I read on the NFL.com article, it seems like the normal thanksgiving games are not changing. They're just adding an extra game in the evening on NFL Network.
WOW. I was wondering why the NFL Network just started showing high definition programming. Now I know, they are getting ready for this package. I am really interested to see if they can offer any different perspective, either good or bad, as a result of being a network from the NFL.
Will that give them more insight, or will they be restricted in their opinions even more so than the other shills were. I can hardly imagine they could suck up to the Favre's and Vick's any more than ABC and espn did.

A thanksgiving night game would be awesome. Sure hope its Dallas Washington so I can watch it here on a local broadcast.
I miss not having the NFL Network all the time. Then again if I got it, the cops would eventually bust down my TV room door to see me sitting there covered in my own drool listing off 40 times for every defensive tackle drafted 4th round and later over the last 5 years.

But think of how proud your Mom would be that it wasn't porn this time.
