Next QB... Collins?

Postby Guttpuppy » Sun Jan 29, 2006 10:01 pm

Mike Preston, Baltimore Sun - Will the Baltimore Ravens sign a potential unrestricted free agent QB such as Drew Brees, Charlie Batch, Jon Kitna, Josh McCown, Kurt Warner or Jeff Garcia? Or will they sign a possible salary cap casualty like Steve McNair, Kerry Collins, Aaron Brooks or Daunte Culpepper? A lot of things can and will change in the coming months, but early indications point to Collins being the perfect fit to become the Ravens' starting quarterback in 2006.

the thought of c-pep makes me drool. :-L

brees would also be nice. other than that the only guy i would even remotely get excited about is kitna. yeah....most of these guys would be improvements over boller, but if we are going to go after someone, make it worth the while. collins is way too inconsistent, and the ravens dont have a true deep threat WR, which is something that collins needs to be dangerous.

i can say i absoluely do not want to see warner or garcia on the ravens. i dont know how i could support those guys even on my own team.

The Vikes almost traded the CPepp pick to you when he was drafted... but it fell through last moment.

I'll bet Derrick Mason would love to see Daunte in the Ravens offense.

It's true a differemt shade of purple would look good on C-pepp. I don't really want Collins. Most likely we cant get Kitna because of Palmer's injury, he would be a nice addition, or even better Drew Brees ;-D
