Free Agent Bidding

I'm getting ready to set up free agent bidding in my dynasty league and am wondering if anyone has ever used an e-bay style auction for bidding. If so how did you go about setting it up?

only way to do it is to set up open bidding, so that everyone can see everone elses bids. Best done on a forum.

Otherwise, the commish could always outbid someone if it was blind bidding.

Yes, everyone could still see the current high bid and the bidder, but in a forum you can go in at the last second and up the bid by one $ and you get the free agent. What I'm talking about is placing your bid but also placing a max bid that you are willing to go up to. And unless someone bids over that max they cannot get him. ie. they would have to make a legitimate bid rather than just squeaking by at the last second.

REally can't do it. The reason is that the commishioner, who looks at and monitors the highest bid the person will go with, can always sneak in.

There is no software i know of that makes it automatic so the commish doesn't have to monitor it.

I guess its better if everyone can sneak in than just the commish.

How about this... just don't read what people put in as their bid, and then bid at will and determine who got the guy. Or just have an outside source work the FA's.

Yea, I think you just need a person who is not in the league run this so that it can be partial and no one can gain an unfair advantage from it.
