Photoshop Elements 2.0

Im taking a computer class this semester and we are starting to work with Photoshop elements. I was just wondering if this program has enought power to make the sweet sigs that you guys always come up with. Also where do you guys get all your cool effects and filters and texts? does that come with a more expensive version of photoshop? I am thinking about getting photoshop elements but if i cant make sigs it wouldnt do me a tone of good. I dont know much about photoshop so im hoping to learn alot this semester.

I have never worked with elements but you should be able to get fonts at http://www.dafont.com/en/ you download the font you want and once you have it on your computer you move it to the folder Windows>Fonts (if you are using Windows)

ive never used photoshop elements but ull prolly learn about usin filters in the class ur gonna b takin to create sum cool effects

yeah we have sorta toyed around with layers and effects. Its some pretty cool stuff.

Elements is alright, it has many of the same features as Photoshop but only a fraction of them. I can do a lot more with Paint Shop than elements and they're about the same cost $100 as opposed to Photoshop that's about $500-600.
