But now he's trashing on Donovan. Very funny.

# AP reports Philadelphia Eagles ambassador Hugh Douglas was interviewed on radio station WIP-AM (610) and he questioned QB Donovan McNabb's leadership skills. Douglas spread the blame for the team's disappointing 6-10 season, but he specifically questioned the leadership of McNabb. "The thing that Donovan needs - it's been proven, especially this year - he needs other people to lead," Douglas said. "He's not a leader. He doesn't want to lead. He is the leader on the field as a quarterback; he isn't a team leader. He needs a good supporting cast." Douglas said that he and McNabb talked Wednesday, Feb. 1, after the radio show and that the Eagles quarterback was fine with what Douglas said when he explained the context. Douglas suggested on the show that some radical changes would be needed to address the leadership issue.
What is the purpose of Hugh Douglas? If you look up lockerroom cancer his pic will be there. The world according to Hugh has TO being the problem, but now that TO is about to be removed lets go onto trashing McWuss's leadership abilities. Which may very well be valid, but what is the point of some has-been telling the world that your QB is a weak leader? Is his purpose to divide the lockerroom?
I don't doubt that he and McWuss talked it over and everything is wonderful with Donovan. I wouldn't guess his wife is liking Huge Douglas much though.

I think the comment was quite stupid honestly, and I am very disappointed in mcnabb for this.
That being said, this is the very first incident involving him (well, caused by him)
My point is that he isn't a moron for saying that, he had a lapse of reason.
Someone equated him with owens, and I don't think that is fair. Consideringthe unique nature of things he has had to endure, he is allowed one stupid thing IMO, considering all the dumb crap that was said about him.
The opening scene of the movie "Saving Private Ryan" is loosely based on games of dodgeball Brian Dawkins played in second grade.

There is no way you can compare the two. But maybe McNabb's laid back nature is why the Iggles clubhouse seems so divided. The QB position is by it's very nature a role for the team leader. That McNabb doesn't speak out could be an indicator that he doesn't show the leadership skills that the team needs.
So, maybe the putrid season they had last year wasn't all on TO. He could've served as a convenient scapegoat for a team that Reid had lost a grip on.
