Chad Johnson's unused Superbowl TD celebration

Postby biju » Thu Feb 02, 2006 1:19 am

He was being interviewed on FSN and said Shaun Alexander should take the pylon and tilt the football on top of it to make it look like the Lombardi Trophy.

That's actually kind of creative... :-D

I can't believe he gave that one away! He must have so many written down somewhere if he can just throw them out there.

Nice jab Chad. Notice he chose a Seahawk to do that, not a Steeler.

To be entirely fair he was "coaxed" into saying what he would do if he were Shaun Alexander and scored a TD. The interviewer was just a "touch" biased and was doing the picking for him.

That said, if you had a gun to my head and said "pick someone who scores in the Superbowl or get shot" I would certainly pick him above everyone else. A close second would be Hines Ward.

Man I love this guy funny guy.

I even got to meet him in person at practice if you can believe that. Family member played for the Bengals in the 80's.

Exactly...i was thinking the same thing.

But that is a REALLY good one.

Only problem is you need to make it to the SB first :-D

I now know why he gave it away...So that he can claim it...cuz it might be awhile b4 he makes it and somebody else bites=copy it.

He's not picking them though... On the Mike and Mike show he says without hesitation that the Steelers will win. He was saying there is no way that Seattle is going to figure out the Pittsburgh D no matter how much film they watch. He is referring to the fact that the Steelers/Bengals play on a regular basis and still have trouble with what Troy and Porter are doing out there. He says it just confuses you when Troy comes up to the line and you dont know if he's coming in or dropping back. Ends the interview with "There is no doubt that Pittsburgh will win. I am not rooting for them, but they will win"

To really pull it off he needs to bring a tee with him to set on top of the pylon, then set the ball on the tee. Otherwise he has to hold it and it ruins the effect a bit.
