Stallworths Year? WR Coach Acquired

Postby TheOneManShow 26 » Fri Feb 03, 2006 11:55 am

"During his 10 years at UM, Johnson has sent nine receivers to the NFL. Four of them were first-round picks, and he could have another in UM senior Sinorice Moss, who was named the MVP of the Senior Bowl last week."

I believe this is a great addition to an already impressive Sean Payton squad.

Could this even possibly spark some interest in his former players wanting to reunite with him...Reggie Wayne possibly?

I don't think this would bother any Miami fan. The guy has not developed any WR talent since Andre left. Really, most question if he has developed anyone. The guys who have made it in the NFL were going to make it whoever their coach was.

AND, he hasn't taken the job yet so you can't call it a great addition till it actually happens. ;-D

there is talented wide receivers that are recruited by every big time college every year where they look to be nfl talent...however, most of the time they just dont develop the way they should...

you cant hold that againts this wr coach...

most of his wr's have succeeded...compare it to betting on horses at the track....you have two stud horses that are both very athletic, strong, and fast (i.e. 2 formidable coaches), so its hard to make a decision as to which one to bet on...however, one of the horses has a long lineage of champions in his family and the other came out of nowhere...which horse are you going to take??? --thats right the one who has the history....

and thats why i have no problem with a coach that has put out many very successful wide receivers

I dunno, I kind of like him as a value pick if they get a competent QB like Leinart.

My thoughts

It's gonna be Ashley Lelie's breakout year too!

Both of 'em.

Stallworth has shown steady improvement over the last 3 years.

485/3
767/5
945/7

That's good enough for me. He's worth a spot on your team as a no. 3 or 4 wr. I'd rather him than a "sleeper" who hasn't done anything yet. I don't think he'll do any better than 1000/7 this year due to QB issues, but around there is draft-worthy. Everybody is bashing him, but he was a great pick this year above guys like lelie and Colbert.
ADMIN edit: please note that the overall sig limit is 12k - thanks!
