I agree with maybe keeping a closer eye on some people, but when we start sacrificing freedoms for security, we lose track of what this country was founded on: life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness (granted that last one was just in there to make it a steady three and Jefferson wasn't too keen on the rights of property).

It goes hand-in-hand with the Patriot Act... and I could go on a debate for days on that subject. But just as with the Patriot Act, violating the rights of innocent people is not an act I want my nation participating in.

Funny I haven't seen this thread until now, but.....

I've been saying the same thing all week. "Al Gore should be brought up on charges for treason!!" This is akin to a political enemy of Winston Churchill going to Nazi Germany and inflaming those who hate his country with anger towards England.

Actually, I think Gore is looking for votes. Recognizing the growing terrorist population in the US, he's securing a new special interest group! Way to go, Al Gore!!

Seriously, he should be ashamed of himself!! How dare he do this against our President and our Country??? We are at war against terrorism. They want to nuke us!!! And he's going over there, speaking against our President and fueling anti-American hatred??? As if they need the help.
