Vikings | Bennett done in Minnesota

Sean Jensen, of the Pioneer Press, reports Minnesota Vikings RB Michael Bennett said Monday, Feb. 20, his tenure with the Vikings is over. "They told my agent they're going in another direction, so I won't be coming back," Bennett said in a phone interview. "It's disappointing, because you felt you established yourself there and you wanted to be one of those guys who stayed with a team throughout his whole career. But it didn't work out for me." With the expected departure of Bennett, the Vikings have just three running backs under contract: Mewelde Moore, Ciatrick Fason and Adimchinobe Echemandu. Bennett said he has been working out diligently, "just in case I need to go audition somewhere." His preferences are Green Bay, which is closer to his hometown of Milwaukee, and Arizona, which is coached by Dennis Green, who drafted Bennett for the Vikings.
neither of those places would offer him a starting job as both are logjammed with backs now with his ability (or better). i can't see arizona going with someone over arrington forever. the kid has to get some time at some point as he is nowhere near as bad as he looked/played last year. i'd rather have arrington starting and learning the game before bennett.
Wasnt B4P in a bet last season with Captian or something too about what Bennett would do. I seem to remember something about eating a jersey or something?
Only thing Bennett is good for is picking up in Madden game. When I start a new franchise, I pick up Bennett for my RB. Cheap, fast, and none of the injury problems.

Word, Madden has all the info. Wow, too drunk to do deep analysis, but B4Prez needs a name change unless he thinks Bennet is gunna be a gopher this year and dig themout of a hole... Doubt it. I bet 2 pizzas.

What a waste of a perfectly good Hasselbeck jersey.
But, to be on topic, I didn't see Onterrio Smith's name on that list - what is his contract status? Is he not going to be back with Minnesota? I would think that drastically ups Mewelde Moore's value, particularly in a ppr.
