as cruel and heartless as that statement is...

... it's 100% fact. No way Bledsoe gets cut -- especially because his contract was frontloaded, I think. He's cheap now.

If we draft or pick up a QB, which I doubt for this season (next season definitely), it is solely for a development basis.

how bout Pennington. would get him much cheaper than the others and if his shoulder heals would be a great pick up. He kept Moss under control at Marshall for 2 years. And BTW threw him 51(maybe 53) TDs in that span.
You could think of government workers like teenagers. You pay them an allowance, but do you get any work out them? They eat the food, put their feet on the furniture and complain loudly whenever they are unhappy.

No way. Oakland is a vertical team. Penny is a short, accurate passer. Even before the injury put his arm in question, he wasn't known for a strong arm. That's why people thought Collins would be perfect fit for the Raiders. He's got one of the strongest arms in the business. I still think Collins could do something with this team if only they had something that remotely looked like a NFL defense.

Low Blow :-t Low Blow *shaking head* :-b

I hate Jeff George. He is the epitomy of a leach.

He has never improved the overall health of a franchise. Its good teams that made him look respectable. He will never be able to hold be that team qb that can elevate the people around. Once again...Teams elevate Jeff's play....blaaahhah

Actually, Brooks Bollinger would be the obvious choice. ;-D

they definitely have issues. they wont take a chance on andrew walters (or whoever the heck he is) and they cant afford to bring in a great free agent qb. culpepper could be an option because people wont like his injury. i see them signing whoever the redskins release. the skins are 20 million over, so they can only really keep one of them. i see it more likely being ramsey.

mccown is drawing too much interest to be affordable.
