Boy would that make Julius Jones a steal the way he's currently being ranked.

ummmm Fabini sucks, he is a liability who is penalized all the time, sowell is good, but he isn't THAT great....

Hey DJF, I'd love to hear any argument you have as to why he wouldn't be an upgrade over Rob Petiti. :-b

Besides, maybe Parcells would be able to whip him into shape.

EDIT: Also, the Cowboys went last year much of the time without a true safety on roster. We always had Lousaka Polite, but he was inactive many games. And if we don't resign Dan Campbell, we need a good blocker, pronto.

Fabini is on the old side and was getting slow. He was struggling with good pass rush ends plus he hurt his knee bad.

Sowell was never really an oustanding blocking back. He did have good hands out of the backfield though.

Personally I don't see the Jets cutting Chad. That's 12 million in dead cap money if they cut him. I think both sides meet in the middle and Jets take a decent size pay cut. Jets will go out and sign someone like Kerry Collins for one year in case Chad's shoulder is shot. If Chad's done he gets cut next offseason and they draft a QB since they probably will have another high pick next year.

Again.. Fabini > Rob Petiti... he's not outstanding, but he's no scrub either.

And actually, I'm interested in Sowell because of his receiving. Remember when Dallas had Richie Anderson (also ironically a Jet drafted by Parcells)? Great pass-catcher out fo the backfield... game our offense a whole different dimension.
