Been listening to the new single "Inside the Fire" by Disturbed.

The singer wrote the song in regards to an experience he had when he found his girlfriend's dead body after she had committed suicide, and as he's standing over her body the devil starts telling him he should kill himself too so he can be with her again. Song is written from the devil's point of view, and is based upon a real life experience of his. Very powerful song and some great guitar work in it as well.

they're a cool band, one of my favorites but come on, why do they have to be so political?!?!?!?! I love their music but can't stand their freakin' lyrics. It's all basically "the government sucks, we should do something about it, the government sucks, blah blah blah" uggh. Great music though.

That's kind of how I feel about System of a Down and Smile Empty Soul. Some of their songs sound good, but you get sick of the perpetual whining.
