you ever check out any of the g3 stuff he does with steve vai? i saw some dvds at best buy today of several of the tours for like $12. i almost got one of them with john petrucci. i held off because i've seen all the footage on youtube. but i'll snag it one of these days.

Yes sir. I saw the 1st G3 tour at the Beacon Theater in NYC in 96. It was with Vai & Eric Johnson. Also have the DVD of that tour for that year.

Satch has been my favorite guitarist ever since Surfing came out in 87. Going to see the master again on Halloween at the House of Blues in Orlando. It'll be the 2nd time that I've seen a band 20 years apart. 1st saw Satch in 88 for the Surfing tour. The other band is Slayer. I saw them 1st in 86 and then saw them last year. Saw both Satch & Slayer many, many times in between (never together ). The Slayer show last year was an all ages show so I felt VERY old. There were people there that weren't even born the 1st time I saw them.

Look like I'll have to make a trip to Best Buy.
