No. He was the 2nd main dude. Ric Ocasek is the main dude everyone knows as the Cars main singer.

The Cars are one of my top ten favorite bands ever and sadly, there's no chance of any reunion. Lead singer and guitarist, Ben Orr, died of pancreatic cancer in 2000. It's one of those rare instances in my life when I really mourned the loss of a musician. Orr was truly one of the great pioneers of new wave and his smooth lyrical tones and great rhythms were one of the things that made The Cars so special. Most people associate Ric Ocasek with being The Cars lead singer, but Orr was the lead on some of The Cars most memorable singles including; Drive, Just What I Needed, Let's Go and Moving In Stereo. Orr was just 53 years old.
