no argument about quadrophenia pwning tommy from me. but you sir are delusional regarding Elton John's albums. My tumbleweed has an alternate version of Madman Across the water that is incredible. And for my money it doesn't get much better than Burn Down the Mission from Elton John. And the movie Tommy is stupid.

I thought you'd be a big Jamaica Jerk-off fan from good bye yellow brick road And Yes tommy is a bit hokie but what do you want it was made in 69 or 70. I love that part with Eric Clapton as the preacher/healer and the the Who following behind Ann Margret was hot

You are correct sir He made smashing up hotels infamous. Now it's so cliche'
Awesome drummer too. It really boggles my mind watching him. He just looks like he's faking it and acting foolish but that's the way he played

20 years later, I still dig this highly underrated soundtrack. Ok, now you can all laugh at me. Though I think you should know, WC did a lot more quality work than most people realize. "Everybody Wang Chung Tonite" isn't really representative of the bulk of their work. Most of their material was brooding, not happy dance music.

I saw them open for the Cars in '84 or '85. They never lived down Wang Chung tonight.

This was one of my long lost vinyl albums that I finally replaced to CD about a year ago. On the way home from the store, I popped it into the player in my truck and CRANKED it. When "Shoo Be Doo" transitioned into "Candy-O", it was so enthralling that the hair on the back of my neck literally stood up. One of those great, awe-inspiring musical "WOW!" moments.
Awesome.
