He had an acoustic duet with someone (live) years ago that was amazing. I can't remember what it was, but I wish I could. I'd have to buy it. Other than that, not a big fan.
They are so good live. I think that was sarcasm that you're not a big fan...? Anyway, if you do like them, I HIGHLY recomend buying a live CD and listening to it. Amazing stuff.
Not sarcasm, sorry. I don't own any albums by him. I don't avoid his music, but I don't listen to it intentionally either. My kid's got a CD with one of his songs on it, If You Were A Penguin. Fun song. Can't find it anywhere though. But I'll have to check out some of his live stuff with Reynolds.
dave mathews ranks up there with john mayer for me...
however, dave mathews once said he doesn't even like his own music anymore. he continues for the fans and the money. I can respect that. cuz his stuff makes my ears bleed.

Agreed, I've never understood the hype behind Dave Matthews. His music is just... meh. There's nothing that stands out about it at all. Kinda like with Jack Johnson.

once upon a time the dave matthews band rocked. put on a great live show, had some nice jams, and a good crowd. but that was before i really even came along. i got in on the tail end of it. it was being ruined by drunk frat boys and incessantly screaming sorority girls. the scene sucked. then the music soon followed, IMO. i moved on rather quickly. but i can still go back and check out some of the old stuff and dig on it. the first dave and tim release was pretty good. it had a blue disc and a yellow disc. i would recommend that one, if you're going to pick one up.
