Best blues guitarist of the 80's? I would say so. Stevie Ray is cool because he couldn't read music, so he just used his ear. I'm the same way, except I use a combination of tablature and my ear. It's amazing how he did an exact replica of Hendrix's "Voodoo Child" without reading the music.

can i post again about how good mountain jam is on eat a peach? oh good, because i'm going too. the bass in the later part of the song reminds me of another great band....oh who were they?....oh yeah, the grateful dead.

and for the record, as jimi hendrix was my first love. i hate stevie ray vaughn. i know, i know, little wing was supposed to be released but it was posthumously. still, just don't like the guy. or much of his music for that matter.

Yeah sure, it's worth another post. I wish I was there! The Oakley bass is good, but the highlight for me is Duane and Dickey playing in perfect coordination at the start. I really want a Gibson Les Paul. They're probably the most expensive guitar though, so I'll have to wait until maybe June to have enough money.

By the way, why does liking Hendrix mean you can't like Vaughan?
