golf equipment

as some of you may or may not know, I work as an assistant golf pro at a local private club in Norman, OK. The weather has been nice lately and I've started to get the itch again. Just curious as to what kind of equipment you guys play with, if you play. Here's mine.



i have an 8.5* with a graffaloy blue shaft. my last set was stolen a few months ago, so this is all replacement stuff. i did have a 983k 7.5* with an dynamic gold X. I loved that thing. This is the first graphite shafted driver I've hit in probably 7 years. And I kind of like it.

i have this in a 16* with a dynamic gold s300 shaft.


have 2 of these 52* and 56*.
i have an old school titleist blade putter. i usually run a rotation on the putters. i have a couple of scotty camerons. a newport 2 and a prototype of a long neck newport (ping anser). i have a 2 ball but i hate it, so i gave it to my girlfriend. and some others, arnold palmer blade, a ray cook, and that's all i remember at this point.

Honestly, I'd love to start playing golf again, but I haven't actually done so since I was 11 or so. But I do like golf... I've just forgottened everything I learned, that's all.

Though I have to admit, my favorite golf is mini golf...

Best set I ever demo'd was a set of Horizon's...They are a smaller market company, but wow I was impressed...I'd recommend anyone who is thinking about buying new clubs to try this brand....On top of that they're cheaper than the big-namers

Yea I've been playing pretty much every day this winter, I'm going to be playing next year in college so I have to keep practicing...anyways my high school season starts on Monday.


My clubs:


Driver: Titleist 905t 9.5* with a YS-6 shaft

3 Wood: Titleist 975f 14.5* with a speeder 757 shaft

5 Wood: Callaway steelhead III with the stock shaft

Irons: Taylor Made rac pro com TP irons (p - 7 are blades and 6-3 are small cavity backs)

Wedges: Taylor Made rac 52 and 58.

Putter: I just got the Two Bar made by Rife putters....

Moon, I wonder why you use such a low loft on the driver. Have you ever tried a 10/10.5? Unless the ground is rediculously firm I find carry much more useful than raw distance. If you're a good player like yourself I'm sure then those 5-10 yards you may lose really aren't that big of a deal. Maybe it's just a comfort thing with the low loft, and that is a good enough reason for me.
