Star Wars Empire at War

Postby ChyBoy » Wed Mar 01, 2006 11:41 am

Has anyone played this game? I am looking to buy it, it looks awesome. It reminds me of the Star Wars Rebellion game that came out back in 98. I loved that game. I think it is only for PC. If anyone has any first hand knowledge that would be great. I read some of the reviews for it, it got pretty high marks from the Star Wars regulars, but not so much from the non-Star Wars crowd. Thanks for any input.

It is a sweet game. I bought it at Best Buy a few days ago with a gift card I won in math class. The only game off hand that it reminds me of is Command and Conquer.

I just got it a couple of days ago at Circuit City for $39. It is pretty cool, a lot like Star Wars Rebellion. One thing I don’t like is that you can’t travel from planet to any other planet. You can only go to the neighboring planets in your range or on a trade root. I do like that there is a lot more strategy involved in the space battles. This lets smaller forces still have a chance at beating larger forces. I will have more info on the game by Monday; I have cleared my schedule this weekend for some serious playing.
