seems like players are avoiding hitting the FA market at all costs. Henry would command little money after his substance abuse violation and poor stats, but this might become more of a trend with guys not wanting to hit the market.
ADMIN edit: please note that the overall sig limit is 12k - thanks! (Thanks Leber) AIM is like multiplayer notepad

After Chris Brown's lackluster performance last year Henry probably see's this as his best shot to see some playing time.
I know alot of people here were touting Brown as a stud in the making.
He cracked 1100 total yards and 7 TD's last year.
The Titans were pretty bad last year so I'm sure that had an affect but it will be interesting to see who the new regime in TEN likes at RB.

definitely. no way he would get a starting role with another team. edge, SA, mike anderson, reggie bush, deangelo williams, lendale white, laurence maroney, and more are all better than him.
Kudos to Leber for the amazing sig and to Metroid for the userbar and making them both fit 2008 and 2009 Defunct Dynasty League Champion

This makes no sense. Say what you will with regards to Edge, SA, and throw in Jamal Lewis if you want, but the others are not better runners. All the rookies cannot be assessed simply due to the fact they have never played a single down in the NFL, and Mike Anderson's best years are not as good as Henry's in Buffalo, plus Henry is younger. If you say the rookies are better than Henry based on potential, then you musn't have seen Henry play ball at Tennessee, where he is the all-time leading rusher (and Tennessee has produced many quality runningbacks in the NFL). How would Henry not get a job with another team. People all over the cafe here and abroad have been talking about teams like Indy, the Jets, 9ers, Arizona, etc. looking for cheaper alternatives to guys like Edge and Alexander. Sure, Henry might not have the best character, but he is a proven back who is exactly that, a cheaper alternative.

maybe so, but henry is getting very old. these rookies have a lot of potential and, if it pays off, it would pay off for many years to come.
youre right about the cheaper alternative point though.

I have to agree about his age. I think he will be 28 come this season (I believe he is 27 now). Sadly enough, the 26-27 age seems to be when players at RB enter their prime (which is generally short-lived), and Henry let that slip away with injuries and what not. Either way, I like the signing by the Titans. I wonder why Henry would sign a contract that is so incentive ladden though...
