this sucks. but the good thing about losing bentley is that he is a trouble-maker in the locker room.

sounds like someone else the eagles signed previously ....

What does this mean for Honey Buns? I don't know why they'd sign a Center when Fraley is at least good, and has a good relationship with McNabb. Channel6sports (ABC in Philly) also said Eagles will get Garcia.

i don't think fraley is just as good. He got blasted off the line a fair amount. mcNabb was getting pressured quite a bit. It hink honeybuns is the back up, or they move new guy to Guard which apprently he can play.
The opening scene of the movie "Saving Private Ryan" is loosely based on games of dodgeball Brian Dawkins played in second grade.

Fraley is at least average, and while I would rather prefer a Guard I have no problem with them upgrading the interior blocking anyway possible. Anyone watching could see that while Westbrook might not be the most natural inside running, any time read called a run inside the tackles no hole ever opened up. Hopefully Bentley can change that for us.

Let Bentley challenge both Hicks and Fraley and replace the weaker of the two.

To update this story:

Eagles | Team ready to add Bentley
Sat, 11 Mar 2006 05:41:25 -0800

Mark Eckel, of the Trenton Times, reports the Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to a deal with free agent OL LeCharles Bentley (Saints). A key member of another team, which also was interested in Bentley, said the Eagles had a deal in place with the center for close to a week, and waited through the several delays to the start of free agency. All the terms of Bentley's deal are not known, but according to the source he will earn a guaranteed $17.5 million over the first three years of the contract. More than half of that money will come in either a signing bonus, a roster bonus or a combination of both. The Eagles are expected to play Bentley at center.

Spadaro says bentley is visiting the browns today... I bet the birds don't get him.

And rumor has givens going to visit the Dolphins.

The one thing that kinda stinks in all of this labor dispute, is that teams who have been responsible with the cap kinda got screwed. Other teams weren't ready with their cuts etc., and now got bailed out with extra money to boot. Oh well, that really isn't the case with the browns.
