Sharper was an unmitigated bust, long before the staph infection hit. After all the hype of the signing was over, I almost never saw him do much of anything on the field.
Dyson played great when he was on the field. The operative words would be "on the field", as he was injured for most of the season.
I loved what Ruskell did for the organization this year. Still, I'm a bit unsure of the Dyson move - we had enough room to keep him, and his talent when present really helped us. My thoughts on this are that we want to resign him for significantly less salary or go after a less injury-prone player in free agency and this was in preparation for a 2006 season with no CBA extension. Still, I'm not sure how I feel about letting Dyson go before Herndon, especially since Dyson far outplayed Herndon on the field when he was there.
Someone please edit that post and get rid of the staph picture. That's disgusting.
I'm not too impressed with the Dyson cut, Seattle is already thin at secondary. Hopefully this is to make room for Alexander and Hutchinson under the cap.
wasn't it Jamie Sharper signed from the Texans supposed to be a huge upgrade for seattle? I guess drafting tatupu ended that before it could start. Dyson is still a quality DB, he could be a starter most places.
ADMIN edit: please note that the overall sig limit is 12k - thanks! (Thanks Leber) AIM is like multiplayer notepad
