Jim Flynn, of PewterReport.com, reports the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and RB Michael Pittman have agreed to terms on a contract extension. The deal means Pittman remains with the Buccaneers through the 2009 season. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Updating a previous report, Jim Flynn, of PewterReport.com, reports the contract extension signed by Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Michael Pittman includes a 2006 base salary of $675,000, $330,000 in guaranteed money and is loaded with incentives. The extension also lowered Pittman's cap value from $2.1 million to $1.4 million in 2006.

Good for TB that they could keep him as a change of pace back. Cheap cap hit as well. I like the signing.

yeah defintely a good move by the bucs. This might also spell the end of Alstott. maybe not but this would seem to be just another reason for him to retire.
