ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli reports the St. Louis Rams have reached a new, three-year deal worth $15 million with WR Isaac Bruce. The contract is expected to be finalized as early as Friday, March 10. Bruce will be paid $6 million for the 2006 season. His previous contract, which he was released from, would have paid him $8.1 million in 2006.

Yeah with Curtis, McDonald and Looker you would have thought they might invest the money over on the other side of the ball or up front to protect Bulger.

All that just to save $2.1 million this year?
They released him before the new CBA was signed. When it was signed, the cap jumped about $10M (I don't know exact amount). If the new CBA hadn't been signed, he probably would not be back with the Rams.
figured this would happen after they extended the CBA. no way the rams would let one of the best receivers in the history of their team go that abruptly.
Kudos to Leber for the amazing sig and to Metroid for the userbar and making them both fit 2008 and 2009 Defunct Dynasty League Champion
