NY Giants Sign CB Sam Madison

It's always hard to see a guy you have rooted for for so many years leave. Sam was always a great teammate, great community guy, and a very good player. His skills have really gone down hill over the last couple years and he doesn't have much left on his tires. For the amount the Giants signed him for though they got a good deal.

Good signing at that price. Madison is still a solid player but at 31 he's far from his prime. Should be at least a solid #2/nickel for a few years though.

I like the signing but Will Peterson's career is probably over and even if it's not, it seems unlikely at this point that he'd play in the 1st half.

I love this deal. Madison still has plenty to offer the Giants on and off the field. Also, I have a feeling this only the first of a few big defensive additions for the G-Men. We're agressively persuing Arrington and we even have our eyes on Archuleta at safety. Either one of those guys would be another great addition.
