Indy RB in 2006

Who will be the most likely RB for Indy next year if Edge moves on?. I've got Rhodes stashed on my bench and am hoping he would get a shot at being the man there. Any info on who else Indy might look at for the spot?

My money's on the drafting Laurence Maroney this year, but picking up Fred Taylor for next year alone. Taylor will mentor Maroney until later on when Taylor leaves

Didn't Taylor re-sign with the Jags a few weeks back? I could be totally off my rocker but I thought I remembered hearing that.

I'm thinking psuedo-RBBC by Rhodes and whoever they draft (I'm thinking Addai or Calhoun).

Assuming they dont manage to re-sign Edge, I think this is the most likely scenario.

I've heard there is a decent chance the Colts end up cutting Rhodes. Need to find the link......

Rhodes is due a 1.45 million dollar roster bonus sometime in March. I have heard from a couple places they may cut him, here is one of those:

No, I don't believe for a minute that Bill Polian considers either Dominic Rhodes or James Mungro the replacement for Edgerrin James. I think Mungro will be re-signed because the team really likes him as a No. 3 back. But I will be surprised if Rhodes returns. He's due a $1.45 million roster bonus in March, and I don't think he earned it with how he played in 2005. Signing a free agent is a possibility, but I expect James' replacement to come from the draft.
