I agree Rhodes is small, but he was brought in for numerous goal line carries, which leads me to believe that he plays bigger than his size might indicate.

Update: Rhodes is currently at the top of the Indianapolis depth chart at running back with Edgerrin James signing a free agent contract with Arizona and James Mungro an unrestricted free agent.

Recommendation: The Colts may take a running back in the draft, but even in that scenario Rhodes may get significant playing time. While the Colts offense may not be as strong without James, his departure could dramatically boost Rhodes' fantasy value.

if they were both uncontested starters by the time you have to decide, i'd take Rhodes

If Rhodes becomes the undisputed starter in Indy, I think he should be drafted no earlier than the late second round. I don't think people should gauge what he did in Indy a few years ago as what he can do there now. He's older and he has had his share of injuries.

I agree - I don't really see him being the every-down guy that Edge was. They will draft someone or make a late free agent signing for more depth, and I think that between Mungro and whoever they get, Rhodes will not get much more than half the RB touches this year.

If Rhodes is named the starter for the season I don't think alot of people would would wait till the late third round to get the starting RB for the Colts IMO.
