James Agrees To 4-year Deal with Cards

3/12/2006

The Arizona Cardinals Football Club has agreed to a 4-year contract with running back Edgerrin James. In accordance to team policy terms of the deal were not disclosed.

As an 8-year NFL veteran James has rushed for over 1,000 yards in six of his eight years in the league. In each of his past two seasons with the Indianapolis Colts James has rushed for over 1,500 yards.

As a 2-year starter at the University of Miami, James was the only player in school history to record consecutive seasons of over 1,000 rushing yards. The Immokalee, Florida native went on to be the fourth overall draft pick in the 1999 NFL Draft by the Colts.

James signing marks the third free agent deal the Cardinals have completed this offseason.

Woah. I didn't think this would happen so fast. I think that the Cards offense just entered elite status. They better make a play for some offensive lineman if they want James to be as productive as they are hoping.

Sucks for fans of Seattle! NFC West might not be so bad next year.

Man, if the Cardinals can strengthen that o-line, and get a few defensive playmakers, they's be a serious threat, especially in the NFC. Boldin, Fitz and Edge? Yikes.

I think the only question now is if Kurt Warner wins another Super Bowl, is he a Hall of Famer?

And the other question is this:

Is Edge still a first round pick?

My first blush response:
