Seahawks fans unhappy with this "wait and see" approach?

Postby biju » Tue Mar 14, 2006 6:56 pm

Seems like the Seahawks and a couple other teams have decided to use a "wait and see" approach to signing free agents. I'm a little frustrated by this personally because all of the talent is getting eaten up.

I understand that they're in a bind now because of theh Hutchinson contract, but still...

I can understand why you are frustrated, but remember this is the same tactic that we pulled last year.

This season turned out okay. :)

There is no way that Seattle matches the Minny offer sheet for Hutchinson. Evidently, they put a clause in the offer that if Hutch isnt the highest paid lineman of his team then his contarct instantly jacks to $50 million and is due all at once. NO WAY seatlle ccan do that because Walter Jones' contract is already bigger which means they would have to pay Hutch $50 million all due this year.

The 50 million wouldn't all be due this year...it would "just" be guaranteed.

seattle fans are mad, eagles fans are about to simulatenously explode after tearing down nova care.

Seattle has a lot of in-house guys to keep, and they should focus on that, seeing how they got to the superbowl and all.
The opening scene of the movie "Saving Private Ryan" is loosely based on games of dodgeball Brian Dawkins played in second grade.

Poor Seahawks fans..

Seriously, you guys just went to the super bowl off a half rebuilt defense that came from some great signings. Your GM seems to know what he's doing, sit back and have some faith in the guy that just got you to the super bowl. There are 30 other teams that can't say the same.

Well Seattle forget about Hutchinson and sign T.Owens. He'll come really cheap right now, plus you have tons of cap room.
