No way they were going to pay him a cap figure of 4.68 million. The article says Denver and St. Louis might be interested. St. Louis with Linehan sounds like a real possibility as a back up. I enjoyed watching Gus with the Fins for a season.

pretty solid backup guy but definitely not worth that kind of money to keep around at this point. i would think with his past history with linehan in minny and miami he would be a easy favourite for st loius backup.

That's what I was wondering myself but according to Culpepper he'll be ready for the season, we shall see how accurate that really is.
