Aaron Brooks - where does he end up?

i think oak may be a spot if they can find the money to sign him. they aren't exactly rolling in cap space at the moment.

I think he is a talented QB in need of good coaching and will get a chance to start somewhere....

The way everybody is valuing him right now, I'd take him as a backup in Cincy before I'd send him to the "Saskatchewan Whatevers"...

His physical talents are undeniable, but when you make at least three major mental errors in a game, no amount of arm strength or speed is going to get you to a championship, so no team is going to rely on him to be the starter.

I think his talent is going to get him on an NFL roster, but it will be as a backup. His best case scenario right now is a chance to compete for a starting job.

One team will surely take a chance on him. He's shown flashes of having what it takes to win and you can't fake that. I think a good quarterbacks coach and the right offensive system and he could be a top 8 QB in whatever conference he ends up in. Whether a team picks him up to start or be their #2 QB, we haven't seen the last of Brooks.

I think he'll end up starting some at some point in his career, but I do not think he will amount to anything at this point. He will be solid contributor for a team looking for immediate quarterback help (Oakland comes to mind).

Here is my scouting report on AB:

Weaknesses: The guy is obviously lacking the mental capacity to play the position. He is not a good leader. He has terrible pocket awareness. His biggest problem as a QB is his inability to step up in the pocket and deliver passes. He is shy of contact. Not a great runner anymore, too timid. Has mental breakdowns, laughs when he throws interceptions, when things are going bad, he usually cannot pull himself out of it.

Strengths: Good armstrength, can throw a good deep pass. When he gets on a roll, he can be as good as any QB in this league.
