What a mo-mo. Mouthing off to an organization that has shown him infinite patience? OK, buddy... you're high on a lot of people's lists right now. I hear Indy's ready to bench Peyton if you sign there.
What a fool. I think some players might be reacting to the success of Daunte's request because since he wanted out, 2 additional people have pleaded for a trade/release. Javon was before the actual trading of Daunte, but the Vikings did respond willingly and I truly think Harrington is doing it because he saw Daunte was able to do it and Harrington probably thinks a fresh start with a new team is the best thing forward, which it probably is.

If you think it probably is a fresh start for him, why is he a fool?

Because he's in no position to request a trade. A QB who is essencially a second string guy has no right to request a trade whether it is good for him or not. Espcially a guy who was supposed to be the franchise of the team.

The locker room is and has been against Harrington and he was never put in a situation to succeed. He is in a position to demand a trade although I would be happy making the money he would make if he were to stay, even as a back-up.

if i remember correctly...Billick didn't want to draft boller...the front office made that decision.

This is really no big suprise to me. I think its alot of the front office pushing Joey out the door. With Joey due a 4 mil roster bonus on June 1 and his huge contract due to him this year it makes it easy for the Lions to let him go. I think Martz praising him was smoke being blown tp both Joey(to try and give him some positive reinforcement) and to the media for a possible trade. Kitna was brought in for a reason and it wasnt to compete with Harrington for a starting job, it was for the starting job.
