Anyways, I like the Kitna signing. It gives Detroit veteren leadership, it gives them a proven backup, it gives them a guy who evidently has been a fairly good tutor (Carson was rather beset by his leaving, but definitely gave him his props).
Personally, I think this signing and McCown's signing are two good pickups. Kitna for the reasons above... and McCown because he gives the Lions another "project" (if they choose to keep both Josh and Joey), and it gives the Lions another QB who has performed at satisfactory levels for a team that has no pass protection.
