Huh? Isn't that what he is saying?

maybe. maybe not.

I think what he is saying is that his boss didn't tell him the magnitude of how badly the QB situation had been managed. Millen told him Joey was okay, so he gives him an endorsement. Then he meets with Joey and finds out the guy either had no intention of being a Lion, or was too dumb to run a team.
Now he comes out and says that he has made a decision to go in a different direction at QB. Great, but in the tradition of the Lions, no reason given. Why the change of heart? What happened in three weeks that made you change your mind? Just typical back-stabbing press leaks from unnamed sources about Joey not cooperating with early meetings with Martz, but absolutely no accoutability from the coaching staff or Millen (the biggest back-stabbing fraud in all of football). Classic Lions. We're well on our way to turning the corner.
Uh, and also Joey hasn't been released yet. They have time before they will have to pay him a $4Millen dollar roster bonus. They will surely try to trade him.
