Maddox - maybe a Bengal?

Postby JStein » Mon Mar 20, 2006 4:16 pm

Who do you all think will replace Jon Kitna as the primary backer for Carson Palmer? Maddox, Griese, Martin, or Harrington?

As a Bengals fan, I hope Brian Griese. There is speculation that the Bears are very interested in him...hope he doesn't go there.

I'm not sure if he would be in the running, but Mike McMahon from the Eagles was released today.

I've heard stories, and please don't let them be true, but the Bengals are rumored to also be considering Harrington.

I added Mike McMahon and "other QBs" category. Of those listed, I really would like to see Griese or Martin in that order. If we had Griese starting the season in place of Carson, that would be big.

If I were a Bengals fan, I'd want to go with Griese. At least you know he can still play competent football with some upside. Maddox and Martin are a bit too old for my taste and Harrington is a complete question mark.

I'd like to see Griese, he should be completely healed, and has proved to be reliable...but I have a feeling Martin will be getting signed...so I voted Martin...

Looks like Griese is about to be headed to the Bears? Hope not - they're not offering him a starting job...well, neither are the Bengals...

No chance, I'd rather take my chances with Craig Krenzel...I have no idea where the original poster even came up with Tommy MaddoXFL being on the short list for Cincy....

I think the Bengals will sign Griese or Martin.....I'd rather have Griese, but I'm guessing Martin...

And I agree - I'd rather not see Tommy Maddox backing up Carsom Palmer. But bengals.com had a poll a while back - a list that included Griese, Brooks, Martin, and several others. Personally, I think the Bengals will pick up Martin. I would like to see Griese.

I thought McMahon was a more random selection than Maddox...
