So remember two years ago when Denver traded up prior to the draft and everyone just blindly assumed that "Shanny must like a RB" (at the time everyone was talking about Steven Jackson) and every mock draft out there and every person out there had them taking Jackson while little wee bagel yelled "no no they're trading up for DJ Williams, not Jackson" while no one listened?

I would guess that it might be a couple of players that the Broncos are interested in, and take whichever one falls. Lendale, a WR (jackson maybe?), or else players like Bunkley, Ko Simpson, or even Vernon Davis if he fell would all be on Denvers radar.

Alternatively a package of the two first rounders would be pretty appealing to trade up even further is possible (reggie or mario williams might be nice!).

I wouldn't be surprised if the Broncos don't take a RB. This team almost never pays the premium to get the top rookie RBs. They usually just take a projected mid-rounder and turn him into an instant yardage machine.

considering what the jets were rumored to have gotten at different points in this process, I'm not pleased nor am I unhappy with this. Originally I didn't think that we'd get more than a 2nd rounder for Abe, but I guess this is fine...

Very sad day. I knew it was inevitable but I'm still extremely sad to see Abraham leave. I can't believe that Denver got Atlanta's 1st round pick after they told the Jets they wouldn't give it up.

yea that's the only thing that makes me mad. I wish the Jets had just given up abe + a third for the 15th pick, that would have been better, that way we could have ensured ourselves of Marcus McNeill, who I think is going to be an unbelievable tackle.


Anyways, another possibility is:

We trade #4 to denver for 15 and 22.

15 - DeAngelo Williams
22 - Marcus McNeill or if not Jon Scott
29 - Nick Mangold
35 - Thomas Howard



That would just be ridiculous. We fill 4 of the 5 most significant positions we need help at (excluding QB) with great players who will fit perfectly on our team.
